About my Business
In 1980, my dad Leo Poole immigrated to The United States from Australia, after spending many years maintaining bowling greens in Sydney. Once he arrived in Minnesota, my dad attended Anoka Technical College, graduating with a Turf Science degree, which he used to grow and maintain golf greens at Interlachen and Braemar Country Clubs. During his time at the Country Clubs, my dad took interest in their irrigation systems and began his own part time business in Edina called Braemar Irrigation. Twenty years later I was gradually introduced to irrigation field work with my dad as I became of age. Many of my earliest memories were with my dad digging holes and troubleshooting irrigation systems in Edina. My dad retired in 2018 and I have been running his business independently ever since.
After a few years and couple business name changes, I settled on Edina Lawn Sprinklers and I take pride in the operation my dad began over 30 years ago. Although my dad provided me with a vast understanding on irrigation system design, the most invaluable advice he gave me was to be fair, kind, and personable with my customers. With these ideals in mind, I have been able to grow my dads business from 40 clients to over 170.
What I believe in
Owning and maintaining a beautiful lawn should be stress-free. At Edina Lawn Sprinklers, I understand the importance of creating a welcoming space for your family and friends. A lush, well-maintained lawn not only enhances your home’s visual appeal but also encourages outdoor activities and supports local wildlife.
I believe that a well-kept lawn goes beyond aesthetics; it plays a significant role in improving air quality and reducing noise pollution. Plus, there’s nothing quite like the sense of pride that comes from maintaining a beautiful outdoor space. Investing in your lawn is an investment in your home’s value and your overall quality of life.
My clients appreciate my work because I refuse nickel and dime them for small parts I use and I will always give you a comprehensive analysis on irrigation maintenance before I install anything. I don’t care to make money on my parts, I care about providing dependable, reliable, and fair work for my clients.
